Kevin Eagle's dad, Phillip Eagle, was a commercial artist for The Cannon Mills Company (Pillowtex) for over 35 years until the company folded in 2003. Kevin credits his dad for his talents. Phillip worked in the Package Design Department  for Cannon. After having two girls, Phil had given up on having a little boy until 1976, when Kevin was born. He was his pride and joy. He was even more proud when he started showing signs of having his artistic talents. Kevin won an birthday card contest for Cannon Mills in 1987 when he was in 6th grade at Charles B. Aycock Elementary. Kevin didn't start really showing his talents until high school, when he took art, with Brenda Hardin. "She just turned me loose with Pen and Ink, and I loved it", Kevin said. He won a few awards in high school but nothing major. Kevin didn't want to follow in his dad's footsteps as an artist, he wanted to be an electrician. After graduating in 1994, Kevin got a job for R.S. Barrett Electrical Contractor. In 1999, Kevin decided to start drawing again, by sketching his family's home place in Marshville. At the same time he drew his first NameTree for a friend. After showing the drawings to some customers, Kevin got a few custom homes to draw for profit. He had a friend make up some business cards and he drew a few more houses over the next few years. In 2002, Kevin got the call he had been waiting for for a few years. His neighbor whom he had  a crush on for the past few years was wanting to go out. They married in 2004 and have 3 beautiful children. Kevin tried being a full time artist, but had to return to work at SignArt in 2008 after being laid off from Freightliner in 2007. Kevin started this website as an online portfolio of his work in 2006.
